Saturday Night Live

Posted by freddyteo on 29 April, 2006

This Saturday marks the 3rd eventful Saturday I had consecutively.

I walked into Excel Point Community Church (EPCC) with fine eardrums. I might have walked out slightly deaf though.

They had this Saturday Night Live event where a band called Altered Frequency was going to perform.

So, I decided to go since I would have nothing to do otherwise and check it out.

This greeted me first.

The Banner

Altered Frequency – "Oops! Asia – Enthuse, Inspire"

This greeted me second.

 The Tee

Press 1 for the Father

Press 2 for the Son

Press 3 for the Holy Spirit

I felt obligated to buy. So, I bought. Okaylah, not too bad. I need orange in my wardrobe.

The music was, at best, in my opinion, okay. I hate to say "in my opinion" since "why would I want to speak of other people's opinions?"

Then again, I believe a majority of the audience might disagree with me, and very loudly at that. So.

Altered Frequency is a Christian rock band. The lead singer was just okay. I did not find anything…notable…about his vocals.

The Deafening Music

The crowd was cheering madly, and the hall's noise music level had reached an alarmingly high decibel. I think the drummer will be pretty deaf at the end of his drumming career.

All in all, not bad. Better than clubbing I would say.

Heck, I worked 4 hours overtime this afternoon. Some music can do me some good.

The Constant That Is Change

Posted by freddyteo on 28 April, 2006

The only constant is change.

That was what one of the head of programmes said at the orientation week of university. Looking back, 4 years have passed.

I won't say it's quick or "how time flies" because it's such a cliché. You hear it at Chinese New Year as much as during New Year's Eve as you countdown to midnight.

How much have I changed?

2002 through 2006 in two photos apart

Not really a lot. But that's good. This is what I say.

This is what she said.

So she said

Look like Form 3 leh. And at that time, the Friendster photo I used was the one during the 2002 Rotaract Club installation dinner I had attended. So I changed it. And I got this.

So she said again

Okie dokie. So, no more Form 3 look-alike.

Dialogues I Like At DRA

Posted by freddyteo on 26 April, 2006

The District Rotaract Assembly (DRA) that I had attended at Morib last Saturday was good. It was money-sucking. Nonetheless, like Disney on Ice, it was worth it.

Here are a few selected blogworthy dialogues:

Rotarian: Freddy, are you still a virgin?

Freddy: Yes

Rotarian: We'll do something about it tonight. I actually sleeping in a single room.

______________

Wen Kiat: Hi, I'm Wen Kiat.

Freddy: Hi, I'm Freddy.

Wen Kiat: You mean you are the Freddy??

______________

Fatimah: Freddy, do you use a PC?

Freddy: Yes

Frankie: You use a pussy??

Fatimah: I use a pussy.

______________

Tsae Yng: Sanjeev, you Hokkien is it?

Sanjeev: My name is Sanjeev Kumar. You still ask if I'm Hokkien. I'm keh leng nga.

______________

Bye bye DRA. Hello Installation 2006/2007.
